What we do

Our main areas of activity

Advocacy and community representation

We identify recurring problems in Roma communities, document them and bring them to the attention of the competent institutions. We facilitate dialogue between beneficiaries and authorities, participate in meetings and consultations and support solutions that can improve access to services and rights for more people.

  • documenting administrative and social barriers;
  • dialogue with local authorities and public institutions;
  • formulating and supporting proposals;
  • fighting discrimination and exclusion;
  • increasing civic participation of young Roma;
  • facilitating communication between communities and decision-makers.

Access to identity documents and public services

We support people who face difficulties obtaining identity documents or clarifying administrative situations. Missing documents can limit access to education, healthcare, social benefits, legal employment and other fundamental rights.

  • information about the necessary steps and documents;
  • preparing and checking files;
  • guidance towards the competent institutions;
  • facilitating dialogue with authorities;
  • following cases through to resolution, where possible.

Education for Roma children and youth

We support Roma children and young people to continue their studies and access educational opportunities. Over 40 children and young people have been supported to reach high school or university.

  • school and university guidance;
  • information about admission, scholarships and available places;
  • support for preparing documents;
  • preventing school dropout;
  • promoting positive role models;
  • encouraging civic and professional participation.

Social support and aid

In the last three years, the association has supported over 300 families in need and provided aid to 450 Roma families. The interventions answered immediate needs, but also helped identify structural problems that require institutional solutions.

  • identifying vulnerable families and cases;
  • distributing food and necessary goods;
  • guidance towards social services;
  • targeted support in urgent situations;
  • informing families about available rights and programmes.

Health and prevention

We facilitate access to medical services and prevention information for people with low incomes. The free medical check-up campaign carried out together with the Vita Plus Clinic is an example of a partnership that can reduce financial barriers.

Community information

We create and distribute accessible information about identity documents, education, health, social benefits, the labour market, fighting discrimination and dealing with institutions. The newsletters are published in the resource library.

Culture and intercultural dialogue

We promote cultural identity, diversity and respect between communities through public events and initiatives, including International Roma Day and Minorities Day.
